Benchmark analysis of current and future pools of talents´ needs to cope with the surge of renewables usage and clean-tech developments

Context & objectives:

The aim of the project is to assess the current state of human resources in the country's industrial sector and to forecast future skills requirements to support the growth of industries linked to renewable energies and green technologies.The specific objectives are as follows

  • Assessing current talent: Analysing the availability, distribution and suitability of existing skills in relation to the requirements of an industry undergoing major transformation, particularly in the context of the energy transition.
  • Anticipating future needs: Identifying the key skills and qualifications required to meet the industry's growing needs, while integrating the objectives of decarbonisation and economic diversification, which are essential in the context of Vision 2030.

  • Context analysis: Assess the current context of the talent market and renewable energy sector in Saudi Arabia.
  • Labor market assessment: Analyze the demand for skills and talent in the renewable energy sector.
  • Future talent and skills needs analysis: Identify the competencies required to meet the sector’s future demands.
  • Synthesis and gap identification: Summarize the analysis results and identify skill gaps.
  • Workshop facilitation: Organize working sessions to discuss findings and recommendations.
  • Presentation of benchmarking analysis: Present the analysis results to stakeholders and propose recommendations for skills development.
