Towards Regional Employment Plans: Matine Consulting leads a key initiative in Tunisia

Adapting the national employment strategy to regional realities

Our firm ensures the technical leadership of developing Regional Employment Plans in five pilot governorates: Tunis, Manouba, Sfax, Sousse, and Kairouan, in collaboration with the Ministry of Vocational Training and Employment.

Objective: territorialized implementation of the National Employment Strategy
This project aims to translate the National Employment Strategy 2019 into concrete action plans adapted to local dynamics, in order to:
- Enhance each region’s assets
- Identify employment barriers
- Create sustainable economic development opportunities

A participatory approach
The organized workshops enabled:
- Detailed analyses of employment dynamics by region
- Identification of sectoral opportunities and specific needs
- Involvement of over 100 regional representatives from key ministries: Employment, Economy, Social Affairs, Tourism, Agriculture, etc.
Solid international support
- This initiative is supported by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and funded by KOICA TUNISIA OFFICE within the framework of the IPTIC program – Impact of policies and job creation in ICT in Tunisia.
