A strategic partnership for Tunisian economic transformation​​
On March 19, 2025, Matine Consulting متين had the pleasure of organizing, alongside its partner African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET), the launch workshop for the Tunisia Country Economic Transformation Outlook project.​
This national-scale project aims to analyze Tunisia’s macroeconomic dynamics over the past 20 years, identify inclusive growth opportunities, and identify barriers to the country’s structural transformation.​

The DEPTH analytical framework
The analysis relies on the DEPTH methodological framework, developed by ACET, which evaluates economic transformation through 5 complementary dimensions:​

  • Economic Diversification​
  • Export and competitiveness in international markets​​
  • Labor Productivity​
  • Technologie et innovation​​
  • Human (well-being and development)​

Strong institutional mobilization
The launch workshop brought together high-level representatives from Tunisia’s main public institutions, demonstrating the strategic importance given to this initiative:​​

  • Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy and Planning, Ministry of Communication Technologies, Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ministry of Women, Family, Children and Elderly, Central Bank of Tunisia, Tunisian Institute of Competitiveness and Quantitative Studies (ITCEQ), Tunisia Investment Authority​​

Next steps
After this successful launch phase, the project team is now entering the in-depth analysis phase. The coming months will be dedicated to data collection and analysis, stakeholder consultation, and developing strategic recommendations to support Tunisia’s economic transformation.​
